Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrates Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year is a huge event and this year celebrates the Year of the Dog. Universal Studios is getting into the action with lots of fun, family friendly experiences to enjoy.
One of the most unique ways that Universal is celebrating is by bringing back a returning favorite for Transformers fans, a Mandarin-speaking Transformer’s MEGATRON! It’s pretty cool that the leader of the Decepticons can interact with guests in two languages in real-time conversations.
Universal Studios is also debuting an all-new Jade Palace Performance Stage where the Kung Fu Panda Dragon Warriors will have an interactive martial arts demonstration performed by Master Po and friends. DreamWorks animators will also be on hand to demonstrate how to draw favorite Kung Fu Panda characters as keepsake mementos.
One of the most exciting things about this celebration is that Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop from Kung Fu Panda will come to life. I have to admit, the scenes at Mr. Ping’s were my favorites, because who wouldn’t want to be immersed in delicious dumplings and noodles all day? This eatery will feature authentic Asian fare and Mr. Ping will be there himself to greet guests.
Lunar New Year is included in the price of admission to Universal Studios Hollywood and will run from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 25, 2018.
