Vintage Disneyland
During a recent massive clean out and move, my mom handed me a folder for safe keeping, let’s just say it was full of our family heirlooms.
I opened the folder to find a Disneyland time capsule. Our family has so many memories of Disneyland, dating all the way back to my mom’s first visit during the opening year in 1955. Here’s just some of the amazing things we’ve kept over the years to preserve our Disney memories.
Back in the beginning of Disneyland rides required tickets. These are vintage ticket books, still intact as if it was yesterday.
Disneyland D, E and children’s passes.
My how times have changed. Just look at the prices!
A Disneyland souvenir postcard book showing park images with original Rocket Jets and Skyway cabs.
Yep, that’s right – those are rare invitations to the opening of the ‘new’ Fantasyland in 1983.
Our family has a long history with Disneyland, I’m sure someday my kids will look back and get a kick out of seeing that a Premium Passport cost only $669 in 2013!
