The Aquarium of the Pacific is one of my favorite local places to visit with the kids. Not only are their exhibition always educational and entertaining but they also have great seasonal activities that make for a great day of family fun.

The Aquarium’s annual Urban Ocean Festival takes place this weekend, the event includes art exhibitions, a fashion show and contest for designs using recycled materials, mural painting, poetry readings, booths, and educational activities. Urban Ocean boat cruises exploring the local coast and port complex are also available during the weekend at an additional cost.
